Learn to Skate (LTS)

This is the entry level program for anyone looking to play ice hockey or simply has a desire to master the skills of ice skating for recreational purposes. Students get 1 hour or 1/2 hour per week of formal instruction on the basic fundamental skating skills. Sessions run throughout the year.

It is designed for beginners of all ages and levels of interest. Rental skates are provided at no cost if needed and each class is broken up by age and skill levels, creating a safe and enjoyable skating experience for all participants. It is highly recommended that you take one or more sessions of “Learn to Skate” before taking our “Intro to Hockey” program.

The focus and goal of the Learn to Skate (LTS) curriculums are designed to teach beginner hockey players the fundamentals of skating.   It’s important for the players to become comfortable on the ice, learn the basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, balance, use of edges and how to hold a stick before moving into the other hockey programs

Friday: 7.45pm – 8.45pm (1 hour) @ Sunway Pyramid Ice Rink (updated JAN 2023)

I was wondering how long does it take to learn the rookie, profesional and all stars? By that, I mean how many classes? and how much does it costs?
